For half a century miniten has been the most popular game to be played exclusively by naturists, particularly in America, Australia, Canada, France, Great Britain, New Zealand and more recently, in Spain. Miniten is based on on tennis, being played to tennis rules with a standard net and ball, but on a much smaller and more economic court. In place of a strung racket a solid double faced wooden bat is used, with the handle set between the two strike faces. The game which can be played to a highly competitive standard also suits all abilities, whether child or adult, and can be continuously played purely for enjoyment. Clothing or suitable footwear is normally only worn for protection against weather extremes or adverse surfaces. It is a spectator sport. |
